Every clinical transaction has an economic shadow.

Every clinical transaction carries an economic consequence: rationally, clinical decisions should ripple throughout subsequent transactions. However, the systems that record care, transmit claims, and move money were built as separate layers, using manual reasoning to resolve correctness only after the transaction has already begun — or in some cases, after the transaction has already concluded. Laocoön establishes a neutral economic layer between payer and provider to determine what is true, what is owed, and what each party is entitled to before information or money moves.
